Frequently asked questions.
What kind of memory film can I make?
This is a great question, and the answer is - anything.
Memory films can be created to celebrate any significant part of your story. It could be similar to me; you might want to create a film to celebrate a birthday for your children, spouse or relative.
You might want to create a film after somebody's passing to explore their life and achievements.
You might want to remember a moment in time, such as a fabulous holiday, or even a special place like a home you have built with your family.
A great memory film is one built from two things - a story which is profound to you, and a rich selection of content that you already have. So if it's a subject which means a lot to you, and one for which you've amassed a lot of photos and videos, then there's a high chance it will work well.
How does the voiceover work?
We would approach the creation of the voiceover for your memory film in one of two ways.
As a voiceover artist myself, I would generally do the first version, as this allows me to keep maximum control over the emotional delivery and cadence.
If you're happy with that then great. If not, or you'd like to explore different accents, ages or a female voice, then we would use AI to create something more to your taste.
AI voiceover is more effective than ever, and can be a really good way of bringing a different flavour to your memory film.
Whichever route you choose, I will work with you to make sure the voice which tells your story is absolutely perfect for you.
What happens with our content once the project is finished?
During the process of creating your memory film, all of the pictures and videos you supply will be securely stored on local hard drives. That means they aren't available on any cloud systems and cannot be accessed from outside the CB work stations.
Once the project is finished, it is entirely up to you what happens to that content. I can wipe it from my machine, or alternatively store it in the CB archives for 12 months from the date of delivery, at which point it will then be deleted.
Storage for one year might work for you if you feel you may ever want to update your memory film, or perhaps even create another one, for which that content may be useful.
In any case, the project files - that's the blueprints for the edit - will be saved. These are very small files which are useless without the physical content, but should always be kept, just in case anyone needs them down the line.
